Debbie has a degree in math and computer science and experience in corporate management. She managed software development and computer support departments at AT&T Bell Labs, Honeywell, and General Motors.
After leaving the corporate world, she was the Director of Resurrection Catholic Preschool. Most of her adult life, though, has centered on helping those less fortunate than herself. She was involved in starting and continues to volunteer at a local food pantry. She held many volunteer positions at a Crisis Pregnancy Center, and continues her work in several nursing homes.
Tom Burt, raised and born in Lansing, Michigan was a Catholic seminarian under the Priests of the Sacred (SCJ)m is 4 yrs. high school; 1 yr. novitiaite; 3 yrs. college. After learning the order in June, 1966, he returned to college to college graduation "cujm laude" with a BS in physicsand many credits in computer sc=ience. He was employed as a computer programmer at the Dept. of Physics, MSU. In the fall of 1983, he converted Compuview of Ann Arbor's microcomputer to display and print mathematical and Greek symbols on screen and for the Physics Department of MSU. He has been a volunteer with Shining Light and Children of Mary since about April of 2013.
Tom Barnes has over 37 years professional work experience in the insurance and claims industry. He is currently the Vice President of Managed Care Products at Gallagher Bassett Corporate Office. Solid business background and experience in organizational design and human resource management, certified process improvement manager, budgets, contracts and vendor management, plus additional managerial certifications from the American Management Association.
Over 30 years Catholic ministerial and community service including: former parish council president, worked in conjunction with DuPage County Health Dept. in providing furniture delivery to the poor, facilitated adult faith formation groups, and currently serves on pastoral care and nursing home ministries and is a member of the Respect Life ministry.
Maryanne Fox has lived in West Chicago for 30 years. She and her husband Bob had a general contracting business for 36 years until retirement last year. They raised four children and have two grandchildren. Maryanne taught catechism at Corpus Christi Parish for 10 years and was a founding member of their Respect Life Committee.
She also volunteered for Woman’s Choice Services, a crisis pregnancy center in Joliet and Lombard from January of 2006 until September of 2010 where she helped in the office and assisted in their fund-raising events. She is president of the Association of Wayne Center, a homeowners group for unincorporated Wayne Township.
Livija has an Associate’s Degree in Textiles Engineering. She currently assists with the family business, raising her family, and has volunteered extensively for Shining Light before joining the Board. As a Christian, Livija lives her faith by guiding and instructing her family and participating in numerous Shining Light functions.
